Salzburg or the “Salt Fortress” in German is a city in central Austria situated at the northern boundary of the Alps, near to Berchtesgaden in South Bavaria, Germany.  

Salzburg is the birthplace of famous composer Mozart and the filming location of the musical film “the sound of music”.  It’s old town (Altstadt) is listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, for its well-preserved monuments and world-renowned baroque architecture.
