The museum presents Dubai’s original heritage and traditional life before the discovery of oil. The galleries exhibit local antiquities, colourful dioramas, original drawings and authentic items of the farmers, desert and marine life. It also includes African and Asian artifacts like weapons and poetry. Some of the antiquities date back to the third millennium B.C.

The visitors will have the opportunity to discover the different environments of urban and rural lives of old Dubai through the masjid wing, the oasis wing, desert wing and sea wing.

There are also the folklore wing and the weapons and Old Dubai fortification wing.

The museum shows the development and modernism of Dubai over years.
