Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was born on August 28, 1749. He was a great writer, poet, statesman, and author.

During this visit you’ll explore the Goethe house and the Goethe Museum.

The Goethe House: It’s where the famous writer was born and has lived from 1749 to 1765. The house is big and beautiful with a ground flour and 3 other flours. The decor, furniture, and rooms are all splendid.

The house includes a writing room, puppet theatre, picture gallery, and library…It’s really an appropriate house for a talent like von Goethe to be raised in.

The Goethe Museum: The museum is composed of 14 room exhibiting artworks of the Late Baroque, Sturm und Drang, Classicism and Romanticism to the Biedermeier periods. All the masterpieces shown in the museum date back to the Goethe Age.

Guided tours for both the house and museum are very informative. You will get to know more about the life of the writer and his most interesting books.
