After the great cable trip to the height of Montjuic, visitors are invited to discover the historic protector of Barcelona for decades.
The actual castle was completed in late 18th century. It’s function constituted in alarming for potential attacks, a killing ground and a prison. Montjuic castle boasts several exhibition spaces featuring crucial events that occurred here.
Expositions include prehistoric finds. Some tombstones date back to 11th century. There are also plenty of large-calibre guns among the castle and a museum for weapons.
The best part of the tour remains the 360 degree view above the city and the mediterranean sea. The walking track called Cami Del Mar is a magnificent spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of surrounding gardens.
