Qasr Al Hosn

The sea stone watchtower of 1760 becomes an iconic landmark of Abu Dhabi. Qasr Al hosn is the oldest building in Abu Dhabi symbolising its birthplace.

Qasr Al Hosn was a fort and a residence for the ruler family, Al Nahyan family then it was transformed and expanded to become a free to enter museum.

The museum presents the culture of Abu Dhabi and its people by exhibiting different collections related to the city heritage and the Gulf history.

Moreover, the place hosts annually the Qasr Al Hosn festival showcasing the Emirati heritage and traditions with dance performances, historical photographs and live music.
