St. Paul’s Church (Paulskirche)

The St. Paul church is one of the most renowned churches in Germany. Located at the south of Frankfurt Hauptwache, the church was built between 1790 and 1833.


In 1849, the church became the meeting point of the Frankfurt Parliament. Then it was renovated between 1988 and 1991. Now, the it’s one of the main touristic attractions in Frankfurt and is also where several important events and speeches are taking place.

Besides its catchy architecture, the church is also considered as a small museum. As it includes exhibitions presenting the history of German democracy.

Note: It’s preferable to avoid visiting the church during prayer time, it would be very crowded and you won’t be able to explore it properly.
