Being part of the Albis mountain chain, the Uetliberg is a mountain in the Swiss plateau. It’s the main and own mountain of Zurich.

The Uetliberg height is 869 meters and reaches 900 meters exactly with the lookout tower set at the top of the mountain.

The view from the mountain’s summit is unbelievable. The top tower offers astonishing views of the entire city of Zurich and the lake Zurich surrounded by the mountains.

The mountain consists of a large forest full of trees and some deers. In spring, the mountain blooms. The autumn, is the most popular time for hiking, as the mountain summit is above the blanket of fog covering the city. 

Many companies arrange paragliding, hiking and biking tours to the Uetliberg. There are many fountains, camping spots and a restaurant.

The mountain’s peak is easily reachable by means of transport like the train or the tram, then you’ll need to walk for about 10 minutes.
