Viktualienmarkt

The Viktualienmarkt or the Victuals Market was built in 1807. It’s a large market located at the square between Heiliggeist-Kirche and Frauenstraße.

You can find all what you need to buy in Viktualienmarkt. It’s a varied and attractive market where more than 140 stalls full of vegetables, meat, fruits, fish, spices, and dairy products are available. Also, many shops are selling flowers, games and gifts.

The market is expanded on an area of 22,000 m2 open from Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m until 8 p.m. Note that there are some stalls and shops opening by 9am and closing before 6pm.

While being at the market, make sure to buy some meals from the shops selling the delicious Bavarian food.

There are also many traditional events taking place at the Victuals Market such as the the colorful Fasching festivities.
